Ancient Ireland

Ireland is full of ancient artifacts. For thousands of years this green land has remained rooted in heritage and history, and much of Ireland's prehistoric artwork and ceremonial stonework is still intact today. The preservation of these artifacts is largely due to the belief, which persists to this day, in 'fairy forts'.

Ask any Irish farmer about 'fairy forts' and they will tell you that if you disturb them, bad luck will come for you. Many of these 'fairy forts' are actually megalithic archaeological sites, but the folk-belief in luck meant that these stones were untouched and undisturbed for generations, and thus they remain preserved for future study.
